Call for Contributions: Bibliographic Survey of Futurism

Günter Berghaus is completing his bibliographic survey of Futurism for the period 1945 to 2009. It has a global orientation and has so far produced over 6,000 entries. This handbook lists most significant studies on artists who were active in the movement and on a variety of aesthetic genres and media in which Futurism exercised a particularly noteworthy influence. The bibliography is ordered in sections dedicated to individual countries and artistic media. (learn more)

He is still looking for support from people who are well informed in the following areas:

– Graphic design
– Furniture and ceramics
– Cuisine
– Fashion
– Photography
– Balkan countries
– Soviet republics
– Hungary
– Latin-America
– Japan

Also files on some of the lesser known artists and writers who had a relatively short involvement with the Futurist movement need to be expanded.

He is inviting scholars to email him to discuss entries and to help completing his bibliographic files.
